Tennessee added a commitment to its 2026 football recruiting class.
Four-star athlete Joel Wyatt committed to the Vols over Oklahoma, Vanderbilt, Georgia and LSU on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-4, 195-pound prospect is an in-state target. He transferred from The Webb School in Bell Buckle, Tennessee to Oakland High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
247Sports ranks Wyatt as the No. 5 athlete in the class and the No. 2 player in Tennessee. He plays wide receiver and safety in high school.
Tennessee offered Wyatt a scholarship on May 15, 2024. He unofficially visited Tennessee five times in the last year, three of which were to football games in 2024. Wyatt officially visited Tennessee on June 6.
Tennessee has 22 commitments in its 2026 football recruiting class. Wyatt, a four-star athlete who transferred to Oakland earlier this month, emerged as a sophomore as one of the state’s top playmakers when he was at Webb School – Bell Buckle. He quickly moved up the recruiting rankings. He is the No. 2 player from the 2026 class in Tennessee, No. 5 athlete in the country and No. 43 recruit overall, according to the 247Sports Composite.
The 6-foot-4, 195-pound standout has been a priority target for Tennessee and also has offers from Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Arkansas, LSU, and Miami. Mississippi State and Oklahoma made a late push for him.
