Jorginho is a ‘great player’ for Arsenal
And the opinion given by talkSPORT pundit Didier Drogba, the former Chelsea player, is that Jorginho is indeed worth all praise.
The legend thinks that the present display by Jorginho has been very good, and knows Arteta has every intention of keeping him for now. By then, Arsenal will have played Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester United in the league before the season comes to an end, and Clarke feels all of them will feature Jorginho.
Drogba stated on talkSPORT, 6:45 am, 27 February 2024: “I also thought Jorginho was brilliant in the game at the weekend. He has become Mikel Arteta’s big player, and I think Arsenal’s chances of winning the league will be determined by how they do at the Etihad, how they do at Old Trafford, and how they do at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
I’ve a weird feeling Jorginho will be called in for most of these games. I know that Thomas Partey will come back into form someday, but I just don’t see how you can leave Jorginho out at this moment.
He’s doing a fantastic job in there. He adds some extra weight and experience with all these young players.”
As for me, Jorginho might be what makes the difference in determining if Arsenal lifts the Premier League trophy. To my mind, Jorginho would be such a big player for the Gunners in the weeks and months ahead.
It is my firm conviction that the former Chelsea midfielder is the kind of player most likely to make a remarkable difference for Arsenal in the meaningfully big matches.
That said, Jorginho’s presence won’t be on the field for every match. To clarify, he is unlikely to bear any run of matches against supposed weak-teams but would grab value addition from his performances while putting up Arsenal against any of the ‘big boys’. Well, at least it’s pretty fair to say he was phenomenal against Newcastle.

Undoubtedly, Arsenal appears calmer and far more disciplined when Jorginho plays. The player does not share his fear of the opponent. Kai Havertz thinks he is world class.
In addition to this, Jorginho has been in the game to build up experience. So far in his career, the midfielder has played 173 times in the Premier League. Out of these games, 21 goals and seven assists have come his way.
