Borussia Dortmund reach agreement with Fabio Silva

Borussia Dortmund are continuing to pursue a move for Wolves forward Fabio Silva and have now reached an agreement with the Portuguese youth international, according to Patrick Berger.

It was decided last week that Borussia Dortmund would make Silva their No. 1 transfer target but after seeing their latest offer rebuffed by Wolves, have put the move ‘on hold’ as they keep their options open. BVB also face competition from Villarreal, Real Sociedad and AS Monaco to sign the forward, while fellow Bundesliga side RB Leipzig have also entered the race.

Borussia Dortmund have declared Wolves forward Fabio Silva (23) as their No. 1 transfer target. As reported by Bild, club officials: Lars Ricken, Sebastian Kehl and Niko Kovac agreed during their training camp in Saalfelden, Austria, that they would make the Portuguese forward their top priority.

However, the German outlet note that they face stiff competition to sign the 23-year-old. Villarreal, Real Sociedad, RB Leipzig, VfB Stuttgart, Eintracht Frankfurt and AS Roma are among the clubs pursuing Silva, but Borussia Dortmund are in pole position.

Silva has already been subject to interest from the Bundesliga after rejecting a move to Wolfsburg, as he wants to play in a European competition after spending last season on loan at Las Palmas, where he scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 24 La Liga games
