Tennessee Football Players Listed as Top 100 NFL Fantasy Options
If you’re looking to lift your league’s NFL Fantasy Football trophy this season, you can do so with at least two former Tennessee football players on your roster.
In ESPN’s updated top 100 players in ‘Points Per Reception’ leagues, both running back Alvin Kamara and wide receiver Jauan Jennings made the cut. The list was most recently updated on Aug. 6.
Kamara, a member of the New Orleans Saints, clocked in at No. 47 on the list and as the No. 18 running back in the league. Jennings, still with the San Francisco 49ers through negotiations, is at No. 84 overall and the No. 38 wide receiver.
Other fantasy options out of Tennessee that you can pick up include but are not limited to, Josh Palmer (WR, Bills), Cedric Tillman (WR, Browns), Jaylen Wright (RB, Dolphins) and Jalin Hyatt (WR, Giants).
With the Vols, Kamara played two seasons. In 2015, he played in 13 games while rushing for 698 yards and seven touchdowns. His 6.5 yards per carry was the third-best in the SEC that season. He also caught 34 passes for 291 yards and three scores. As a punt returner, he managed a touchdown.
The following year, Kamara was a key part of Tennessee’s great start to the year under Butch Jones. He played in 11 games while starting in seven and finished with a team-high 1,188 all-purpose yards. This came on 596 rushing yards, 392 receiving yards, 184 punt return yards and 16 kickoff return yards. He also totaled 13 touchdowns.
