Arsenal ‘opening’ to exit in January – Player’s wages need to be agreed, but move looking likelier.
Arsenal are ‘opening’ the opportunity to let Jakub Kiwior out on loan during the January transfer window, but that certainly does not mean heading to Naples will be a simple thing to do.
That is according to Corriere del Mezzogiorno, who report that the Arsenal man remains the runner up for Antonio Conte’s team as they chase all the potential additions to their squads during winter.
They have to find a replacement for injured Alessandro Buongiorno, who is going to be out for one month, and then a very big hole will appear in their backline in that period.
January could probably fix such a situation with a new signing, and Arsenal’s Kiwior is currently ‘the most popular profile’ on the shortlist. Napoli likes that he can play especially at center-back but is adaptable to left backs.
Arsenal also ‘opening’ to letting the Polish international go out on loan but with an obligation to buy included.
However, a task is made difficult with Napoli, who would have to ‘make all the need coincide’ between the possible offer that could be made, what Arsenal would want, and the defender’s contract stipulations. It appears that some form of movement has to happen on a front before they can make any serious pushes in that direction.
A transfer for the defender is looking likelier, though, with Arsenal opening up to the idea of a loan move and clearing one obstacle out of the way.
