Eben Etzebeth makes jest at Sharks’ and Springboks’ team-mate, telling a pram story, but Siya Kolisi gets his back.
Eben Etzebeth, the terrifying second-rower for the Springboks, just proved that he can also make a pretty good joke at the expense of tiny scrum-half Grant Williams.
While this lock is known for his high-impact fierce tackles and barging runs, he will also not take a backward step if you try anything funny with him on the field-as Allan Alaalatoa found out the hard way.
Yet he will also indulge in some pretty fun-micking. Captain Siya Kolisi has quite often been the target in the past, with the two forming a bromantic relationship over the years, but this time it was Williams who found himself in the firing line.
A video was posted by the Springbok forward from the dressing room, titled: ‘Anyone seen @grant9_williams?’ which starts with him shouting the name of the scrum-half off-camera.

Etzebeth continues to shout âGrant!â as he comes into shot, where he is seen holding a small pram, much to the amusement of those present.
The two players are team-mates for both club and country and recently featured in the Autumn Nations Series where they had key roles in their unbeaten northern hemisphere tour.
They will look to take that form into the Champions Cup where the Sharks begin with a game against struggling Premiership outfit Exeter Chiefs.
Kolisi should also be involved after an impressive return to action during the Durban sideâs 21-15 victory over the Stormers at the weekend.
However, the Boks skipper could not resist having a joke at Etzebethâs expense after the second-row took on waterboy duties for the encounter.
Following the lockâs Instagram post: âStress levels are definitely much higher on the sidelines than on the fieldâ, Kolisi responded with a meme captioned: âWhy are you yelling at me?â
The back-rower then added to his Instagram story that the water given to him by Etzebeth was too warm.
Back together
Those two Springboks greats have been reunited this season after Kolisi returned to Durban just a few months after he moved to Racing 92 on a three-year deal.
Etzebeth jokingly disowned his Test team-mate after the World Cup. Following his first match back post-tournament, the lock posted a picture on Instagram with a caption that read: âGreat to back with the @sharksrugbyâ.
Kolisi responded with a couple of affectionate emojis, but the gargantuan second-row wasnât having it and poked a bit of fun at the Boks skipper.
âIf you not in my team, I donât want you in my comments!â he quipped.
Etzebeth then had another cheeky dig at Kolisi when they both briefly returned to the Sharks in October following their Rugby Championship exploits.
âLooking forward to be back at the @sharksrugby tomorrow. I heard we made a new signing, I hope me and the new guy get along nicely. Apparently he loves Racing⊠Cars,â he wrote.
