2027 four-star offensive tackle schedules visit to Tennessee for Oklahoma football game
Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class.
Four-star offensive tackle Jake Hildebrand will visit Tennessee for the Vols’ game against Oklahoma on Nov. 1, according to Brandon Huffman of 247Sports. He will also visit Arizona State, Oregon, Miami, Texas A&M, Ohio State and Alabama this season.
The 6-foot-6, 285-pound prospect plays for Basha High School in Chandler, Arizona. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 12 offensive tackle in the class and No. 3 player in Arizona.
Tennessee offered Hildebrand a scholarship on Jan. 9. Other SEC schools to offer him a scholarship include Oklahoma, Missouri and Texas.
Linebacker JP Peace is Tennessee’s only 2027 football commitment.
Tennessee has 23 commitments in its 2026 football recruiting class: quarterback Faizon Brandon, wide receiver Tyreek King, offensive lineman Gabriel Osenda, linebacker Braylon Outlaw, defensive lineman CJ Edwards, defensive lineman Zach Groves, safety KJ McClain, safety Luke Thompson, defensive end Kedric Golston II, offensive lineman Edward Baker, wide receiver Zaydyn Anderson, quarterback Legend Bey, defensive lineman Dereon Albert, linebacker TJ White, cornerback Jamyan Theodore, defensive lineman Darryl Rivers, wide receiver Javonte Smith, linebacker Brayden Rouse, safety Jowell Combay, offensive lineman JB Shabazz, athlete Joel Wyatt, athlete Salesi Moa and offensive tackle Kamari Blair.
It sure feels like the recruiting news has been sour as of late for the defending College Football Playoff national champion Ohio State Buckeyes. Oh sure, OSU still has a very, very good recruiting class with the verbal pledges it has, and there’s a good chance it still finishes somewhere around or in the top ten, but it’s been a very long time since the Buckeyes won a highly visible recruiting battle.
