Dortmund and Leipzig set to lose out on transfer target McAtee – Sky Germany
Multiple sources, including Sky Germany, believe James McAtee has decided to join Nottingham Forest.
The news comes as a blow to several Bundesliga clubs’ hopes such as Borussia Dortmund, Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig.
All three of the teams – most notably Dortmund and Leipzig – were linked with the 22-year-old Englishman across the summer.
However, Premier League side Forest have supposedly fully agreed personal terms on a long-term contract with McAtee.
Negotiations with Manchester City are ongoing, and both Forest and the player’s camp are optimistic about reaching an agreement soon.
McAtee had an impressive run during England’s successful EURO U21 campaign in which he scored once and provided 2 assists in 6 games.
Loïc Badé will join Bayer Leverkusen if nothing goes wrong in the coming hours, according to Spanish journalist Alejandro Sáez.
Fabrizio Romano and Sky Germany also notes that Badé is very close to leaving Sevilla for a fixed fee of around €30million
The three transfer specialists are of the belief that an official announcement is expected before Sunday, August 17.
Contacts between the clubs have intensified in recent hours to the point that the most positive ones could already consider it a done deal.
However, Sáez’s report suggests there are still a couple of loose ends to tie up that are preventing the deal from being finalised
