Native son Bart Sessions can see clear progress as he enters his fifth season as head coach at Alma Bryant.

“Those first couple of years we walked on the field most nights with zero believe that we had a chance to win the game,” he said. “Last year, most nights we felt like we had an opportunity to win and, toward the tail end, we did. What that kind of brought is now, this year, we walk on the field expecting to win, and I think will be disappointed if we don’t.”

Last season, inconsistent quarterbacking and offensive line performance, along with turnovers, dragged Alabama Football down to a four-loss season. The Crimson Tide was tied for No. 10 in the SEC with 21 turnovers, 11 by interceptions. In addition, Milroe had six fumble turnovers and shared responsibility for being sacked 23 times.

On Saturday, the Alabama football offense passed the first important test of the 2025 preseason. Speaking after Alabama’s first scrimmage of Fall Camp, Kalen DeBoer stated the offensive line was “solid in pass protection.” As exciting as that was to hear for Alabama football fans, DeBoer said something more significant: during the scrimmage, there were “no interceptions.” He elaborated that during the eight August practice sessions, the three Crimson Tide quarterbacks have thrown only three interceptions.
