Another Kentucky 2026 commit is being targeted by an SEC opponent

On Saturday, the Tennessee Volunteers began to recruit tight end Lincoln Watkins, who is committed to the Kentucky Wildcats in the 2026 class. Now, the Auburn Tigers are following suit, offering defensive lineman Ben Duncum, who is also a 2026 commit for the Wildcats.

Duncum committed to Kentucky back in June, choosing them over schools like Oklahoma State, Wisconsin, and others. He projects as a very good run defender, and looks to be a good fit on the Wildcats defensive line.

Kentucky and coach Mark Stoops are trying to hold together a 2026 class that is only 15 players as of now, and ranks outside the top 50 classes in the country. Losing Duncum and Watkins would be tough losses.

It should be noted that the Colorado Buffaloes also offered Duncum recently, and as of now, it’s just an offer. However, as a team that isn’t considered an elite program, Kentucky will have to constantly try to hold off teams looking to take their talent.
