The eyes had been on Gabriel Martinelli mainly due to his recent form, but he did manage to shut them out by finding the back of the net in the 5-1 win over Crystal Palace.
Gainers’ served himself well by capitalizing on the Declan Rice strike, opening his right foot in execution of aiming a shot at goal for the day’s fourth for Arsenal.
Marksman Paul Merson recently said that Martinelli was “too predictable,” and backed Raheem Sterling to replace the boy.
According to Paul Scholes, Martinelli has regressed from the player he thought Martinelli would grow to be.
Former Liverpool defender Stephen Warnock had also called out Martinelli for being anonymous but, after the injury to Bukayo Saka, he was put on the right flank and had some bounce.
After Arsenal’s 5-1 win over Crystal Palace, Martinelli and Ian Wright shared a very touching moment.

Recently Ian Wright was “angry” at Martinelli because he was offside before assisting Saka’s disallowed winning goal in his former side’s draw against Fulham last Saturday during a 1-1 match.
Wright also chose to instill Martinelli by reminding him to “step up.”
But behind the scenes, there was a bit of patting on the back from Ian Wright to Martinelli, which the latter thanked for after Arsenal’s latest win.

First, Ian Wright said on Premier League Productions during post-match interviews, “Gabi, it’s Ian, how’re you doing brother?”
Martinelli replied with: “I am doing okay, you are a legend, right?”
Ian Wright added: “I am really good, Gabs. Gabi, can I just say I am very pleased with it all working out so well now because you are scoring a few goals now while you are playing.”
“How does it feel to be back in a place where confidence seems to have returned after a few games where there was so much pressure on you?”
It was Martinelli’s words that sounded like appreciation for Ian Wright: “You have played the game, so you know how it is on this side, and I just want to say thanks for the message you sent me the other day; it means a lot to me.”
“It really feels good, as I said, to score and win the game, and it’s an honour as I said to receive a message like that, the one you sent me so again thank you so much, it means a lot to me.”
Wright said: “It is because I love you Gabs!”
Martinelli replied back: “I love you legend, thank you.”

Although the former Ituano winger would not save this performance as one of his greatest, it could be said that the biggest improvement was shown by Martinelli in this match, playing as a right winger.
The 23-year-old’s competencies such as his inability to beat his man and the number of times he lost the ball could be said to be negatives.
However, the most positive aspects were Martinelli’s key passes, goal and cross.
As Saka seems to have suffered an injury that could keep him out for a while, Gaba has to come in and fill the role that he would have played at Arsenal in his absence.
