A Season of Setbacks
Coor suffered the injury in a game earlier this season after an awkward slide into second base. While initial reports suggested a return was possible, sources close to the program indicate that Coor experienced setbacks in her rehabilitation, preventing her from regaining full mobility. Doctors reportedly recommended an extended recovery period, making it unlikely she would return before the postseason.
The loss of Coor is a significant blow to Oklahoma’s lineup, as she was expected to play a key role in both the outfield and at the plate. She finished the 2024 season batting .312 with a .450 on-base percentage, proving to be a reliable offensive weapon.
