Ohio State football team gets screwed again with reported kickoff time for PSU game
The Ohio State football team has played a lot of Big Noon Kickoff games over the last few years. Ever since FOX decided to make that their premier slot for games, they have tried to broadcast the Ohio State Buckeyes as much as possible to boost ratings.
That philosophy has angered fans of the Buckeyes. That was evident when the kickoff time for the season opener against Texas was announced as a noon game. Fans were not happy with that, as they wanted that game to have more of a big-game atmosphere, so they wanted a night game.
It’s clear that FOX does not care about putting Ohio State at noon constantly. They are going to try to get as many of their games as possible. In fact, athletic director Ross Bjork fully expects them to have the game against Penn State and make that a noon kickoff, as well.
Bjork recently told WOSU that he expects the game to be a noon game. It would be very frustrating for Ohio State football fans if they had to have another game against a top-three team at noon instead of at night. That would be a perfect time to have a home night game if they won’t for the first game.
