Paul Pogba would adore to bounce back to Manchester United, but according to his close friend Bacary Sagna.

Pogba was declared a World Cup winner but suspended for more than four years due to an illegal substance. But earlier this year, after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) accepted Pogba’s claim that he ingested the substance unintentionally, the ban was reduced to 18 months.

Pogba will again be joined in training by January and eligible to play with a club in March after which he will become available to the star, one of whom wants to join Manchester United again. The midfielder left for the club in 2016 with a record fee of £89million and spent six seasons at Old Trafford, winning two trophies with an English giant: the League Cup and the Europa League.

Pogba, according to former France and Arsenal defender Sagna, would relish going back to his former club to play under new manager Ruben Amorim.

Sagna has interacted with Pogba and has claimed that the former superstar of Juventus has made it very clear he still loves United. “Like I said, it’s a different situation today at Manchester United as to when Paul was previously there,” Sagna told Mega Dice.

“United have a young coach, a coach that has been a player, a coach that understands the situation. He will probably be willing to have a player like Paul at his training sessions. Amorim was a player himself, so I’m sure the coach will be open to seeing him getting back home because he loves United. I have talked many times with Paul. He loves United. The only problem was the situation when he came back.

“That was a spell where things didn’t go as well as they should have done but Paul wasn’t the only one suffering at United during that time.”
