Spurs in ‘front row’ to sign midfielder with 55 goals & 25 assists; ready to bid €32m – player keen on move

Tottenham were strong favorites to move for Davide Frattesi Inter Milan midfielder within this current January transfer window.

The 25-year-old Italy international, who plated against regular minutes this season, was reportedly in the mood to start afresh, and a move to the top flight potentially beckons.

According to Inter Live, the Italian club values him around 45-50 million euros and is not planning to offer to discount prices, especially to league rivals.

Reports indicate that Spurs are ready to present a “whopping offer” for the player Frattesi, while TV Play notes that the set-up of Ange Postecoglou is primed to bid an immediate €32 million for his acquisition.

Tottenham are believed to be all for bringing out this deal, notwithstanding stiff competition, as they are still confident that they can have the cost reduced. According to sources close to the club, Frattesi is “ready to pack his bags” and would be interested in moving to Tottenham if an agreement can be reached with Inter.

Frattesi had flown to Inter Milan after a brilliant showcase with Sassuolo and was one of the winning squad members who made it last season in Inter. We could say that he made quite an impact on the loan, but he did most notably during his debut when he scored a goal in the 5-1 Derby della Madonnina win over AC Milan while providing a last-minute winner against Udinese.

This season, however, he has struggled to get chances under Simone Inzaghi, only having started a handful of matches. Nevertheless, even with limited playtime, he has accumulated three goals and one assist in 16 matches across Serie A and the Champions League.

Frattesi’s collection of numbers at Inter snapshot 11 goals and eight assists across 58 matches. For his career overall, he has 55 goals and 25 assists over 322 matches, showing how productive he could be at the attacking end.

His versatility, work rate, and ability to change games from the midfield make him an exciting prospect at Tottenham, but particularly for the fact that Ange Postecoglou is in the process of rebuilding and reshaping.

He would reportedly prefer a switch to AS Roma, the club of his childhood, but would keep the door open to joining Spurs. It would allow him to test his qualities against what many believe to be the Premier League’s best, while also adding much-needed depth and quality to Tottenham’s midfield.

Tottenham’s pursuit of Frattesi aligns with their broader transfer objectives as they look to strengthen their squad for a push toward Champions League qualification.

While negotiations with Inter Milan are expected to continue in the coming weeks, Spurs will hope to strike a deal quickly, especially with multiple clubs monitoring the situation.

As the transfer window heats up, all eyes will be on whether Tottenham can outmaneuver their competitors and secure the signing of one of Italy’s most exciting midfield talents.
