Tottenham eyeing move to sign 22yo star, £16.5m deal could be agreed

Spurs Set to Pursue Udinese Center-Back Kristensen
They say that Tottenham is setting to make offer(s) for Udinese’s center-back Kristensen during the winter transfer window Caught Offside.
The heavyweights of London have been worse off in this Premier League campaign, as demonstrated by the defeat endured at the hands of Newcastle United, which has left them rolling at the 12th slot in the table.
Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Ben Davies and Radu Dragusin were four central defenders unavailable for selection against the Magpies due to injury.
Romero, Van de Ven, and Dragusin are likely to return in the coming weeks, but manager Ange Postecoglou may want a bit more help in that area during the current window.
Caught Offside state that an injury crisis may prompt Spurs into making a bid for Udinese star Kristensen, who might be available for around £16.5 million this winter.
The talented central defender is sought-after by both Leicester City and Bayer Leverkusen, but the urgency in that department at Spurs might make them intensify their pursuit.
Required
Postecoglou hurried Romero and Van de Ven back against Chelsea last Month and both had a nightmare evening as they were substituted on for injuries. The Australian has understandably had to handle the centre-back pairing in future with great caution.
For that to happen, he requires yet another good new defensive signing to deepen the quality within the squad. Kristensen has really thrived with ball distribution and with a physical presence.
He is definitely strong in aerial duels and has managed to win an impressive 74% of his aerial challenges this season in Serie A. “The Dane has also impressed by his ability to clear his lines and make recoveries.”
At that price, he would be a clever signing without much damage to the bank. Spurs need exactly that because Romero and Van de Ven will be assured starters at the heart of the defense in the Premier League once they are fully fit and firing.
Leicester should not provide a major challenge for Tottenham in competition, but Leverkusen may really turn up as a contender for Kristensen. Spurs must move quickly to get into a position to lead in snaring just such a player.
