Levy, Lange jet to France to seal explosive second Tottenham signing in deal worth around £55m
Tottenham Hotspur are apparently edging closer to a deal for some exciting attacking talent, as they try to finalize the second signing under Ange Postecoglou in this transfer window, barely a week into it.
The north London club has confirmed an agreement for Antonin Kinsky of the Czech Republic yesterday, the deal bringing the 21-year-old goalkeeper to north London with the expectation of competing for the backup role at Spurs before challenging Guglielmo Vicario for the hugely coveted No. 1 spot.
TT has been told that signings would follow because of an injury-hit squad that currently languishes in 12th place in the Premier League and is closer to relegation places than to the top four.
Specifics that areas currently being looked at would include a new left-back, a centre-back, another central midfielder, and a new attacker and suppose the last report is true; that box could be ticked soon.
TheBoyHotspur says informed sources revealed Daniel Levy and technical director Johan Lange had flown out to France to negotiate a deal for Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani.
The France International of 26 years has not received appreciation since he has joined PSG and that is why Ligue 1 giants are letting him go now.
The report continues that the forward may pocket up to £165,000 a week at Tottenham and he is likely going to cost around £55 million.
It is thought that the player is going to join Spurs this month, although, the fee for him would not be paid until 2026 and, according to TT sources, it could be an initial loan with an option to buy which would make sense as to why paying will be ‘not until 2026’.
Help is coming for beleaguered Tottenham
With that many players sidelined, Postecoglou said that the January transfer window would be alive again with new arrivals; it looks like Levy and co. are already answering the call for help.
Optied is not something that Tottenham generally opted for before moving for any players but the signing of goalkeeper Kinsky is totally out of the blue and pitched for a number of people towards the new direction that they themselves have now taken.
So, the addition of Muani, who has been spoken about by Postecoglou and Lange, will give Spurs another central striking option to lift some load off Dominic Solanke.
Muani is mainly as good as playing in the central striker role, though he has also played wide, but as of now, he has been playing solely through the middle for PSG this season, and unfortunately, the results haven’t been that nice.
The former Eintracht Frankfurt attacker has scored two goals in fourteen matches across all competitions for PSG this season and made just two league starts for the French giants.
Muani has also netted eight times in 27 appearances for France. At 26 years, it could just be a matter of change in environment to reinvigorate his career. This is the prime of his life.
Now the only thing is that whether Tottenham is ready to make a permanent deal or sign him on loan to buy a player, the player has been widely linked with Aston Villa and Arsenal, among others.
