In the latest update from Give Me Sport, it is understood that the Lilywhites have been pondering over whether or not to bring the left-back born in 2004 to White Hart Lane, who will cost over £30 million from Lecce with the mounting competition for the player’s signature. According to John Wenham, owner of the Spurs podcast Lilywhites Rose, Levy has been urged to stop “thinking twice” and seal the deal before Wednesday.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, Wenham said:
“Why don’t we actually try something proactive as a club, rather than being reactive? Let’s sign Dorgu already, so he is in a position to play against Liverpool rather than waiting around trying to save a few bucks.
Pay the extra and go and sign players who can improve the club. Let’s do things to actually try and improve the squad for once, rather than sitting around and waiting for the worst to happen before reacting.
This should already be finalised for Dorgu, and he should be gearing up to go. But he hasn’t, and that is very frustrating for me.”
