The preference of Marcus Rashford’s next destination has been rumored as an exit from Manchester United as they prepare for his exit.

Reports further confirmed that Rashford wants a club in La Liga if he eventually leaves Manchester United. Earlier this week, Rashford hinted at his intention not to remain at Old Trafford when he made it clear he needed a ‘new challenge’.

‘When I leave it will be, “no hard feelings”. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person. Rashford told Henry Winter : ‘If I know that a situation is already bad I’m not going to make it worse. I’ve seen how other players have left in the past and I don’t want to be that person.

Nevertheless, Rashford may have very few choices since only a few clubs can afford to pay him the cool £325,000 a week.

He prefers to join a top La Liga club, rather than any other; he prefers to move out of Manchester United, as has been reported.

Earlier in the week, Rashford made it clear that he was intent on securing away from Old Trafford by way of admission that he wants a ‘new challenge’. “When I leave it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to hear any negative comments from me about Manchester United, that’s me as a person,” Rashford told Henry Winter.

“If I know a situation is already bad I’m just not going to make it worse. I’ve seen how other players leave in the past and I don’t want to be that person. When I leave I’m going to make a statement and it’s going to be from me.”

Paris Saint-German have been placed as early favourites to sign the 27-year-old, however, the French club has already passed up on two separate opportunities to sign him in recent years.

According to The Telegraph, Rashford’s preference would be to join either Barcelona or Real Madrid, but at this time the chance of either actually making a move seems to be remote.

Barcelona are still in a very precarious financial space, while Madrid are overly stocked in their attacking department and are busy getting the best out of summer signing Kylian Mbappe.

It adds that Rashford will be receiving an invitation to join the Saudi Pro League, as the top four clubs in the division – Al-Ittihad, Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr and Al-Ahli – are all keen to reach a deal.

It is said that United would ask for a price tag of £40 million for the forward who did not make the cut for England’s Euro 2024 squad earlier this year.

Ruben Amorim, manager of United, responded to the frank comments made by Rashford regarding the future plans at Old Trafford: ‘This kind of club needs big talent and he’s a big talent.

‘He just needs to perform at the highest level. That is my focus. I just want to help Marcus.

‘What I want is to take the best from Marcus Rashford and the other players. I don’t talk about the future. I talk about the present.

‘I want to best of each of them. I just want to win and help the team to be better.

‘We are better with Marcus Rashford, and that is simple and we try our best to push Marcus Rashford to the level he is at before.’
